Welcome to a humandoctor! I’m Francesca.

I’m a family doctor with a master’s in public health who took a break to pursue a creative career in acting and writing, and now I’m integrating these, while also being a mom/partner/complete human.

In the past five years, I’ve also moved across the country from upstate New York to Los Angeles, and back again, had my first child, and lost two of my parents, while we have collectively had to navigate COVID and our nation and planet’s reckonings with racism and radicalization.

This is a place where I write about these things.

This site started out in 2015 as a personal blog about caring for my mother in her last six months before she died from a rare disease called multiple system atrophy. You can still read about MSA here. And in 2020, I made a bunch of painstakingly researched videos about COVID, so those are here.
